Watts Valley
2019-2022
This project is about the valley I grew up in. It’s focused on our human perception of death in the natural world and the ways we attempt to interrupt: road kill, roadside memorials, extreme empathy, and psychotic detachment.

The largest single wildfire in California history decimated a large swath of mine and these animals’ homes. They were forced down the mountain because of the fire, only to die at the hands of a motorist.
